External packaging
High-quality double-walled moisture-resistant cardboard boxes generally offer effective protection. Special attention to corners, edges and surfaces is recommended. It is best to use new boxes; re-used packaging is appropriate for rugged goods only. The heavier the contents, the more stable the outer packaging must be.
Internal padding/strong> interna
Any empty spaces inside a box must be filled with padding. The goods must not be allowed to move around inside. Ensure that the padding material is compatible with the goods – e.g. use close-fitting moulded polystyrene for heavy or fragile items. The goods should not be able to touch the external packaging.
Sealing
Packages must be wrapped with adhesive tape and well sealed on all sides. Larger or heavier items need stronger tape. Packages must be firmly sealed for secure transport.
Applying the label
Apply the label on the longest side of the package. Before re-using packaging, remove the old stickers or labels. We recommend that you label each package separately, rather than grouping your goods together.
